Synology celebrates Solution Day 2024 in Singapore with new enterprise solutions together with a large crowd of IT professionals

Synology has announced the conclusion of its Solution Day 2024 event in Singapore with spectacular support from the local IT sector who have gathered together to explore Synology’s latest innovations in data storage and management, data and workload protection, business productivity, and video surveillance.

Among the plethora of demo products and solutions showcased, the ActiveProtect series which simplifies deployment and sizing challenges with a streamlined interface. This series supports up to 2,500 multi-server environments across multiple sites, offering data immutability and retention policies to ensure business continuity during ransomware attacks.

Additionally, Synology’s new Scale-out Solution provides non-disruptive data management for both file and object storage, with performance scalability when adding storage servers. C2 Surveillance Station, a cloud-based video surveillance solution, was also introduced, featuring edge AI, multi-layer encryption, and secure monitoring capabilities for environments without local recording servers.

Synology also updated its Office Suite, integrating GenAI features to enhance collaboration and streamline workflows. These capabilities aim to improve team efficiency and simplify document management across departments.

Antoine Yang, Synology's Country Manager for Singapore, acknowledged the impressive growth of Synology's business solutions in the region and expressed gratitude to attendees for their role in the event’s success. Over the past two years, Synology has seen a notable expansion in Singapore, serving businesses of all sizes across industries such as media, manufacturing, and education. Yang highlighted these achievements as a testament to Synology’s ability to meet the evolving needs of the modern business landscape.

The event also featured a panel discussion where IT decision-makers from leading organizations, such as LASALLE College of Arts and I Love Taimei, shared their experiences with Synology’s solutions. Gan Gay Hiong from LASALLE highlighted Synology’s comprehensive storage systems, which perfectly met the institution’s data storage needs, including the management of vast digital archives and 4K video storage for faculty projects. Synology’s scalable and easy-to-administer solutions allowed LASALLE to expand its data management infrastructure seamlessly, enabling the institution to focus on academic excellence.

Yadah Yang, Chief of Marketing & Technology Officer at I Love Taimei, emphasized how Synology’s Surveillance Station platform facilitated multi-site surveillance management. Using the Centralized Management System (CMS), the company managed footage from 17 stores through a single portal. With the DVA series, I Love Taimei expanded its storage capabilities and explored advanced AI-powered analytics, such as people-counting, to generate valuable business insights.

Both panelists offered practical recommendations for businesses facing similar challenges, stressing the importance of scalable, integrated solutions for efficient data and surveillance management.

Regional Sales Manager Thachawan Chinchanakarn expressed Synology’s pleasure in hosting business partners at the event and appreciated the valuable feedback from enterprise clients.
