MongoDB shakes hands again with Google Cloud for better and easier scaling of applications utilizing Atlas Vector Search and Vertex AI
MongoDB has announced they are partnering with Google Cloud once again that enabling the services of the database giant to be deployed on the cloud platform.
The collaboration aims to bridge the gap and enable more convenience for MongoDB clients who want some of the most powerful generative AI capabilities which in this case Google by allowing MongoDB Atlas-based applications to be built and directly deployed onto Google Cloud service.
On top of that, they are also adding support for data processing with BigQuery which if you don't know, is basically Google's offering of enterprise data warehouses so for those who are storing their information over there, there will be no problem harnessing that data to use with very little hassle.
So here's what they are looking out for through this new joint effort:
- Isolate and scale gen-AI apps with high performance and efficiency seamlessly
- Harness Google's Vertex AI that chains MongoDB Atlas Vector Search without the need to transform data or manage data pipelines, allowing faster model training and building
- Automated pipelines for analytical workloads for operational data between BigQuery and MongoDB
- Captures data directly from production to optimize manufacturing factories and supply chain operations
- Composable commerce capabilities like modern shopping experience via Integrated Commerce Network from Kin + Carta
Alternatively, for those who wish to keep their data private and protected, MongoDB Enterprise Advanced (EA) can be accessed through Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) instead.
