Google Workspace now has more AI-augmented features while costing less

Google has announced that its advanced AI capabilities will now be included in Google Workspace Business and Enterprise plans to make AI tools more accessible and affordable in addition to redefining productivity for businesses of all sizes.

The tools added in this new round cover the likes of Gemini and NotebookLM Plus which provides email summaries, document and notes generations, and even videos from scratch, as well as coding/research/data analysis via Gemini Advanced.

In terms of accessibility, Google is tackling the pricing angle with the removal of add-on costs for these gen-AI features, making the previous SG$ 42.60 per user per month cost down to just SG$18.80 applicable starting March 17 for existing customers but immediately for the new ones.

Additionally, Google is double downing on user data safeguarding particularly on permissions for LLM training which they have set as "OFF" by default as well as implementing enterprise-grade controls to protect sensitive data.
