ASUS reveals even more storage servers at SC24 supporting both AMD and Intel-based solutions
ASUS unveiled their latest infrastructure solutions at SC24, showcasing systems powered by both AMD and Intel processors.
Their AI-focused lineup includes the ESC A8A-E12U, which combines AMD EPYC 9005 processors with Instinct MI325X accelerators, and the ESC I8-E11, which features Intel Gaudi 3 accelerators.
The ESC I8-E11, built with 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors, incorporates eight Intel Gaudi 3 AI OCP Accelerator Module mezzanine cards and is equipped with 24 RoCE 200GbE RDMA NICs per Gaudi 3 accelerator.
For high-performance computing applications, there's the RS920Q-E12 and RS720Q-E12 systems, both utilizing Intel Xeon 6 processors to deliver enhanced density and performance for HPC workloads.
In response to growing storage demands, ASUS has partnered with Weka to develop software-defined storage solutions where the RS501A-E12-RS12U system exemplifies this approach, offering capabilities for both AI computing and storage.
This storage architecture supports file, object, and block storage, along with all-flash capabilities, tiering, and backup functions and is designed to scale in both performance and capacity to accommodate evolving storage requirements in AI and HPC environments.
These solutions aim to address the needs of various organizations, from startups to large enterprises, focusing on adaptability and scalability for AI and HPC applications.
